Royal London Group, in its current form, is predominantly the result of the acquisitions by Royal London of the United Assurance Group and Scottish Life in 2001.
The Group's specialist businesses provide pensions, protection and investment products and include, among others, our asset management company, RLAM; our offshore company, Royal London 360° and our protection businesses, Bright Grey and Scottish Provident.

Royal London is the largest mutual life and pensions company in the UK with Group funds under management of £39.1 billion. Group businesses serve around 3.4 million customers and employ 2890 people. (Figures quoted are as at 31 March 2010) Scottish Life and Royal London's other intermediary businesses are based in Edinburgh where 1150 staff are employed, with over 780 working in other parts of the UK and overseas. (Figures quoted are as at 31 March 2010) Scottish Life is a division of Royal London and markets products produced by Royal London. Scottish Life is responsible for the marketing, distribution and servicing of the Riley bond. |
